Our newest tipple launched today, dedicated to a New Zealand running legend, Kwaxie is a Belgian Dark with a unique Cola finish.
Continuing our tradition of naming our beers after Kiwi track and field legends, we are proud to present Kwaxie, a Belgian Dark that was trialled and tested over the last few months and is now on sale to the public via our website.
It becomes the 7th beer to join our lineup and was created in honour of Kawxie who was the leader of the 'Flying Kiwis' who dominated the European track circuit in the early 70s. He won silver medals at both the Commonwealth and Olympic Games and became a world record holder over 5000m in 1977.
So what's it like? Well, you can expect smooth chocolatey notes on the front palate with a cola finish in the background. Much like its namesake, Kwaxie is bold and brash on the track, but charming and sophisticated off it.
